King Appolus Chu preserves Nature!
King Appolus Chu plants Trees to curb deforestation, Climate change and to boost agricultural activities.
As the world advocates for the need to restore forest, in order to protect biodiversity and to stabilise the climate, the Egbere Emere Okori and oneh eh nchia X of Eleme, hrh king, Appolus Chu takes a lead in planting economic trees in his farm in Okori community of Rivers State.
This is aimed at securing the environment, shows exemplary leadership in the community and to empowers agriculture.
In accordance with the federal government’s Campaign on tree planting, king Chu sows some of the most crucial species such as cocoa, star apple, plantain, local pear, coconut, banana, mango, cashew, palm tree, bitter cola, monkey cola, avocado, Orange, guava and others.

These Trees aside being a valuable source of food and nutrition, it will help in preventing soil erosion, stop climate change by removing carbon dioxide from the air, storing carbon in the trees and soil, and releasing oxygen into the atmosphere.
It will boosts fruits production in the country, provides job opportunities for the people while contributing to agricultural growth which comes with many other economic advantages.
In few years, Eleme Community in Rivers State, Nigeria, will be in it's rightful position in terms of agricultural activities in the country!
