The Egbere Emere Okori and Oneh Eh Nchia the X of Eleme, HRH. King Appolus Chu leaves Rivers state, South South Region of Nigeria for Argungu in Kebbi state to grace the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his accession to the throne, as the emir of Argungu, Alhaji Samaila Moh'd Mera.

Maj.Gen Moh'd Ilyasu The city of Kebbi state witnessed a finest of personalities from across the country and beyond to celebrate with the paramount ruler of Argungu, Alh. Samaila Mera, who also gave his daughter's hand in marriage alongside his 25th anniversary of his accession to throne of Argungu kingship.
The cream of dignitaries present were; The president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, his excellency Moh'd Buhari represented by the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami. Senate president, Ahmad Lawal, minister of information and culture, Alh. Lai Moh'd, former governor of Abia State Dr. Orji Uzo Kalu.
Royal fathers in attendance were; The Sultan of Sokoto. Alh. Sa'ad Abubakar, Shehu of Borno. Alh Abubakar Umar-elkalami, Emir of kano, Alh. Aminu Ado Bayaro, Emir of zauzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, Emir of Fika, HRH. Alh. Moh'd Ambali Moh'd. The gbong gwom Jos, Jacob gyang Buba. Egbere Emere Okori & Oneh Eh nchia the X Eleme, King, Dr. Appolus Chu, The Emir of Bargu, Barr. The event took place in Argungu at the King's Palace on the 5th of November 2021.
Highlights of the event includes a lecture presented by the chief Imam of central mosque Abuja, professor, Ibrahim maqari with the theme, Justice, fair leadership and indiscrimination, irrespective of tribe, religion or ethnicity!
The paramount ruler of Argungu kingdom, Alh. Samaila Mera bestowed chieftancy titles on the Senate president, senator Ahmad Lawal and Senate chief whip, who is the former governor of Abia State, senator Orji Uzo Kalu as the Ganuwan kebbi and Kibiyan Kebbi Respectively.

The chairman of the occasion, Sultan of Sokoto, Alh Sa'ad Abubakar reiterated the importance of justice and responsible leadership, he urge the royal fathers, politicians and all participates to focus on what unite us rather than what separate us as a nation.
King Appolus Chu congratulates the emir of Argungu for a successful 25years of charismatic and exemplary leadership and his daughter's wedding and wished the couple a happy married life.
King Chu enjoined the Emir to continue holding fast to prayers and he prayed for more years of prosperous, peaceful and a fruitful kingdom for the people of Argungu.

King Chu commends the people of kebbi state for their support and cooperation to their emir and wished the emir more healthy years of reign, he also prayed that God continues to sustain the cordial relationship between the people of Eleme kingdom and South South Region in general and that of kebbi state.
While responding, the Emir of Gwandu, maj. Gen. Moh'd ilyasu
appreciates King Chu for building bridges across the country and referred to him as a friend to kebbi, a friend to the north and a nationalist, thus he should feel at home in kebbi and the North as a whole.
The emir adviced the people of kebbi state and the entire Nigerians that the forthcoming elections of 2023 they should steer clear of identity politics, electoral malpractices or violence and they should vote for the rightful candidate of their choice who will bring about peace, unity and development.
Argungu is a city in kebbi state, in the north- western Nigeria, with it capital at Birnin kebbi. The city is majorly known for it's annual international fishing festival called Argungu fishing festival.
