 Moments of consciousness and realisation; the British returns looted Bronze to Benin.


The Egbere Emere Okori & Oneh Eh Nchia X of Eleme, His Royal Highness King Dr. Appolus Chu honours Oba of Benin's Invitation, to the 5th anniversary of his ascension to the ancestral throne of Benin city as Oba of Benin, His Royal Majesty Omo N'Oba N'Edo Uku Akpolokpolo Ewuare II.


The Oba of Benin alongside his 5th anniversary, celebrated the return of Benin Bronze which was described as having been looted by the British soldiers in Benin city in 1897.

King Appolus Chu congratulates the people of Benin, he laments the return of the artifact as a victory to Nigeria and the entire African continent. Adding that, what happened to the Benin people and Africans over hundred years ago was a great injustice.



Thus, returning the artifact shows the world is revolving, consciousness and realisation is also growing on the parts of the British government.
