The Strings Of a Woman

How do we say what we have in mind, when most people especially our dear loved ones are only waiting to judge and cast blames on us?

Why is the world so cruel, that those whose love we yearn for are always the ones who hurt us the most?

What did we do to life to be treated with so much distress and minority mindset? She is a woman, she has no life without a man, what did we do wrong? Where did we miss it?

Because she is a woman she can't mount to nothing because she is a daughter, a mother and somebody's wife? 

Such talks lingers on the lips of outsiders, but demoralises and break every bone in us when it comes from those we cherish, and expect to draw strength from. 

Because she is a girl, her life means nothing without a man, what did we do wrong? This African mentality has eroded and eaten so deep in our homes, even mothers who are supposed to cheer their female children to aim for the sky are the ones bad mouthing and casting blames.

A man makes a wrong decision, it is the fault of the woman. A man makes a mistake again, the fault of the woman, a man cheats it is the fault of the woman, what did we do wrong? 

Oh woman, I know entirely how this feels like. To have your loved ones make you feel like your life is not worth living, your dreams not worth achieving, your hopes not realistic just because you are a woman. 

We have a tender heart, gentle and compassionate, we are mothers but, our life matters aside being a wife and mother, we have a life too. 

Why do society make woman feel less of a human, why should society especially our loved ones make us feel like the only purpose of a woman's life is to serve a man, this notion and expression is the most painful of them all.

Woman, women, women stop feeling guilty for being a woman. 

When you are determined to achieve your dreams, even your loved ones will call you prostitute, when you are determined and focus on building your life aside being beneath a man, even your loved ones will refer to you as an infidel woman, oh my mother earth, what did we do wrong. 

I refuse to be intimated, I refuse to be castigated, I refuse to be discouraged, I refuse to give up. They will call you names, puts all the blames on you, sees everything wrong in what you do, not supportive, either verbally or non verbally. 

The worst feeling in life is to have those you expect love from to be the number one blame box, those we expects shoulder from to cry on, are the ones that makes us cry, just for the reason that, you as a woman, dare to chase your dreams. 

It is not all about the money sometimes, there is a fulfilment you get, satisfaction you derived when you do something you love and have passion for. 

This is my own style, I write out my heart, I write to heal, I write to avoid depression and bad energy. I write to safe my life. 

I'm not going back, there is no going back, there is no turning point, I am human, I am capable, I have dreams, I have a life, I am a wife and a mother, but I also have a life which yearns to contribute to the universe, the world is waiting for positive vibes, the world is revolving, change is what is involve. 

I just want to live my life, I want to be free to do what I love, I want to avoid rains of blame, I want to live and leave legacy behind. 

Yes, I am a woman, I refuse to give up.
